“The time to fix our broken immigration system is now. This is the time to make sure that families are unified and children aren't taken from their parents, the time to make sure we secure our southern border to prevent the illegal flow of people and drugs, the time to make sure that we know who is in our country and to make sure that they don't represent a security threat to American citizens. The time is long overdue. I hope that my colleagues on both sides of the aisle appreciate that we need to work together to restore the rule of law, secure our border, and make sure there is a path to legalization for the 11 million people who work hard every day and contribute to make our country even greater.
