I was pleased to see that, as part of these bills, there was an increase in funding for inspector generals' offices, for the most part, and to do this work, because I think it is important work.
I regret that is not the tone from the majority. They have described these important programs as a frivolous spending spree.
I think it is important that we continue to keep eyes on that issue to make sure that it is still continuing to happen.
People like me who represent underserved communities know that these communities frequently have--they're low-income, disadvantaged, minority communities.
