We desperately need this. And when we try and compete with Wall Street, with New York, with Chicago, what have you, for these people, it is difficult.

I don't know at this point what that is, but I do know, to the degree that we are able to expedite the tremendous responsibilities we have, we could use whatever assistance we can get.
It is my hope that both Republicans and Democrats can come together to construct a more balanced approach to addressing the deficit.
One of the great things about this process are these hearings where we have an opportunity to straighten out the record, to present the facts, and to unfold what is really happening in many of these issue areas.
I was disappointed that the Senate did not take up our legislation, but I remain hopeful that this can be an area for constructive collaboration over this next congressional term.
I have appreciated so much working with you. And even though we have worked together on this committee, our work outside of this committee where we worked on debt relief was extremely important.
With all due respect for your concern about whether or not our witnesses are in compliance with the rules, I would respectfully ask the Chair to have a private conversation with them about their workloads and what they are attempting to do.
I urge you to immediately revisit and reevaluate the proposals put forth by the AAAPO in their letter to you dated September 28, 2012.
