Kamala Harris is the Vice President of the United States, having taken office on January 20, 2021. She is the first female vice president and the highest-ranking female official in U.S. history. A member of the Democratic Party, Harris previously served as a U.S. Senator from California from 2017 to 2021, where she was known for her work on issues such as criminal justice reform, healthcare, and immigration. Before her tenure in the Senate, she served as the Attorney General of California from 2011 to 2017, focusing on consumer protection and civil rights.
I will take on big corporations that engage in illegal price gouging, and corporate landlords that unfairly raise rents.
When I am president, we will continue our fight for working families of America.
I was attorney general of a border state. I went after the transnational gangs, the drug cartels, and the human traffickers. I prosecuted them in case after case and I won, so I know what I’m talking about.
We know our immigration system is broken and we know what it takes to fix it: comprehensive reform. That includes strong border security and an earned pathway to citizenship.
We will not let anyone turn back the clock on progress. We will continue to push forward, no matter what obstacles we face.
