A member of the Democratic Party, Harris previously served as a U.S. Senator from California from 2017 to 2021, where she was known for her work on issues such as criminal justice reform, healthcare, and immigration. Before her tenure in the Senate, she served as the Attorney General of California from 2011 to 2017, focusing on consumer protection and civil rights.
We need to end the practice of separating children from their parents at the border. It's inhumane and un-American.
