Kamala Harris is the Vice President of the United States, having taken office on January 20, 2021. She is the first female vice president and the highest-ranking female official in U.S. history. A member of the Democratic Party, Harris previously served as a U.S. Senator from California from 2017 to 2021, where she was known for her work on issues such as criminal justice reform, healthcare, and immigration. Before her tenure in the Senate, she served as the Attorney General of California from 2011 to 2017, focusing on consumer protection and civil rights.
We have a generation of children who are growing up in fear of mass shootings.
I will work to stop the inhumanity being committed by the Trump administration at the border.
I will lead the effort to legalize marijuana and expunge the records of those convicted of marijuana offenses.
Safe communities are about health, education, and economic opportunity, not just policing.
Our veterans are committing suicide at an alarming rate. We need to do more for them.
We need to provide children with the resources they need, early on in life, to succeed.
I'm prepared to take executive action when elected and give the United States Congress 100 days to pull their act together on this.
