I want to reiterate what you have said, and how people who have been exposed to contaminated sites deserve a clean and safe environment.
But they also deserve to benefit from the cleanup, to make up for the harms that they have suffered.
I would like to also just point out that President Obama appointed Mario to the Federal Maritime Commission in 2011.
I have supported changes to the PierPASS Traffic Mitigation Fee at the Port of Long Beach.
I included several provisions in my bill, the Break Free from Plastic Pollution Act, to protect our environment, as well as municipal water districts from the downstream impacts.

the best way to address the toxic chemicals and the pollutants is to ensure that they don't get into our environment and waterways in the first place.
