The subcommittee is meeting today to examine policies that impact the Department's ability to secure the border.
I do want to note that the appropriations bill included $284 million for port and drug inspection technologies within CBP, and $71 million specifically for opioid detection.
The first is to raise the standard of the initial asylum interview that happens at the border which is so low that nearly everybody can make it through.
