We are not talking, by the way, gentlemen, about union jobs and non-union jobs, Republican jobs and Democrat jobs; we are talking about American jobs.

It is offensive to me that somebody was picked to win and the other people were picked to lose.

The question is who was made whole, who was made partial, who was left out in the cold.

What does that look like to the people who pay for all this, the American taxpayers? It is pathetic.

Can we just say on the street we call that picking winners and losers, and who gets to take advantage of things that weren't available to others in bankruptcy?

the thing about the American people, they trust us so much with the process, and they have great faith in the process until they find out they've been gamed.

I thank my colleague from Tennessee. I really appreciate the opportunity to talk tonight. And I think what I've found unusual in my 18 months here is that when I look at a lot of the legislation that comes forward, a lot of it is proposed…

But at the end of the day every single penny came out of taxpayers' pockets, it did not come out of the government; it was funneled through the government.

The disconnect is so great here, it is so foreign to people who live in this area that this money actually comes out of working people's pockets.

When we follow this Judas goat of taking money from the government, there are strings attached to all this money we take and there are repercussions.

This is taxpayer money.
