The total number of words in the amendment, except for the technical provisions regarding the effective date, is 307. If you add them all up, it is 394 words. Again, 179 of those words describe the victims' rights. The defendants' rights consume 348 words in the U.S. Constitution. The Bill of Rights is 462 words. If you add it up word for word, we win, as I said this morning. But that, obviously, is hardly a way to evaluate.”
