The repeal of the estate tax is only in existence for 9 months because of Senators such as the Senator from New York who won't agree to make it permanent. So the relief is very tenuous here for people, and that is why I am fighting very hard to retain the rate relief. The repeal of the estate tax is going to go away 9 months after it goes into effect, which is in the 10th year of this bill. That is why we need the rate relief that is built into the bill, and that is what is taken away by the amendment of the Senator from New York.
