Mr. President, let me make three points. First of all, I find it very interesting that our Democratic colleague is worried about the debt of the United States. This does not seem to be much of a concern to him or his colleagues when they vote for spending bills around here. Just recently--I took some of the more recent ones--the railroad retirement bill was $15 billion in one payment. I voted against that. The farm bill was $82.8 billion over the baseline, over the budgeted amount. I voted against that.
