again, I appreciate the assurance that this will be done by February 1, when it has to be done, or all of the authority to collect this intelligence expires. It has to be done. I think we are in session maybe 1 or 2 weeks, potentially, when we come back before that date. If we don't do it, our country is in grave jeopardy. I would have thought perhaps a better way to resolve that is to do it now so we don't have to wait again until the very last minute to accomplish something that is so important for the security of our country.
