Lesson No. 7, ``Never put it in writing.'' This one Al Gore should have learned. Obviously, he does not have friends. Lesson No. 8, ``Friends don't let friends call from work.'' And one that touched on the point the gentleman went into at length about what happened in this Buddhist temple, and the fact that people there were extremely generous, as a matter of fact. This is an important Clinton White House lesson learned in the course of the campaign of 1996: ``Monks may not be as poor as you think.'' Another one, ``Don't settle for less.'' Yet another, ``Never sell the Presidency for less than $50,000,'' unless of course you can get $50. Another one, ``Felons deserve a second chance: Donor mentoring.'' ``The CIA can't keep a secret.''
