Well, I have had a number of people engage in debate. In Arizona we debated this measure. The opponents of it predicted dire consequences. They said that this was an irresponsible measure, that we should never have a supermajority requirement, that we had always just had a simple majority. They even go so far, and you may have heard this in debate yourself, as to say it is un-American to require anything other than a simple majority. And yet the Founding Fathers when they drafted our Constitution inserted a number of supermajority requirements, and when you combine the supermajority requirements that are already in our Constitution, such as to ratify a treaty, with others that have been added----
