John McCain: “I welcome all the nominees and their families who accompany them today.”

Six years is still too long.

I especially want to acknowledge the leadership of Senator McCain of Arizona who introduced the Native American Languages Act (NALA) in 1990.

I'm the luckiest guy on earth. I have served America's cause, the cause of our security and the security of our friends, the cause of freedom and equal justice all my adult life.

We owe each other our respect as long as our character merits respect.
