I have to recognize that it has been this body, this Senate Committee, very important Committee on Indian Affairs that has been helping us.

These are not just any jobs. These are well-paying jobs that keep a lot of people employed.

If John McCain were here, he'd be saying; Who can we fire? Why is this--this is a pure management problem, it seems to me.

I especially want to acknowledge the leadership of Senator McCain of Arizona who introduced the Native American Languages Act (NALA) in 1990.
