I don't know why, Anderson, but I think it's important to note that Bashar al-Assad may interpret that as a green light for everything else, in other words, do everything up to but not including the use of chemical weapons.
Senator McCain expresses concern that the administration's red line on chemical weapons may inadvertently signal to Assad that he can act without restraint up to that point.
