Mining is a critical part of Wyoming's economy as well as our nation's economy. It provides good paying jobs for hardworking people.

It is disturbing to see a country put itself out of business by adopting short sighted over regulation.

I urge my colleagues in Congress to move swiftly to approve legislation to address abandoned mines--before more damage is done.
