I think many of us are haunted by the fact that decades ago we stood aside when genocide took place in Cambodia. Before that, of course, we had the Holocaust in Europe. And just a decade ago we had the genocide in Rwanda, and now we are seeing this again in Darfur in Sudan. We are convinced and I think committed to making sure that we do everything in our power to make sure this genocide does not continue. And that is why we are here today with this resolution.
