To all of these pages, let me say that we thank you. We thank you for the service that you have given, we thank you for the confidence that you give us in the future of our country. I began, as I think most of the pages know, I began my own service in public service, my own service in Government nearly 40 years ago when I came here as a page. In those days the program was quite different and I came as a sophomore in high school and stayed through my senior year. I know from that experience what a difference it has made in my life, how it has fundamentally changed my own life.
