Gabby Giffords: “I urge Congress to find that courage, to show leadership on this life-and-death issue, and to act, now.”

It is time. In Congress, we sit here with the ability and the power to do something, and history will not be kind to us if we continue to allow the gun lobby to buy us and sell us.

I'm optimistic. It will be a long hard haul, but I'm optimistic.

For me is really important to move ahead, to not look back. I hope others are inspired to keep moving forward, no matter what.
