Mr. Speaker, in 2004, Arizona voters approved a ballot measure requiring proof of citizenship when registering to vote. Today, Arizona has two voter registration forms. There is one for those who can provide proof of citizenship, and those voters can vote in all offices, State and Federal. The other voter registration form is for people who don't show any proof of citizenship. Those voters are allowed to vote in Federal elections. The number of Arizona voter registration forms where voters don't show proof of citizenship has skyrocketed in Arizona to 35,000 forms. Arizona voters and the Arizona Legislature have tried everything to ensure only citizens can vote. Arizona and the Nation need Congress to pass the SAVE Act so we can ensure only U.S. citizens vote in our elections, as required by law.
