“You are very kind, and I thank you for the colloquy. Look, many of us just want to solve the problems. I have the best little girl in the world sitting in the back right now. She is 3 years old. What does her future get to be like? We have a demographic crisis. It is just math. We are getting older very quickly. If we don't grow the economy, if we don't have lots of labor force participation, and if we don't use trade and tax policy and innovation, we need these things to grow. But instead, Madam Speaker, if you listen to the speeches that often end up behind these microphones, it is an absurdity that is partisan because we care about power more than actually doing those things that are so important for our future of this society.
