I asked them: Can you tell me how many agencies there are in the Federal Government? The answer was ``no.'' I said: What? He said: Nobody knows. That is hard to believe. I couldn't believe it. I did some more digging. Nobody can tell me. Nobody can tell me how many Federal agencies there are. We can tell you how much we are spending.
