“Yesterday’s attack was not a harmless prank,” Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes told reporters outside of the Executive Tower at the state Capitol. “The fear it caused is real.”

This is a sobering moment that highlights the reality of election administration in this country today.

“While none of this is routine, they certainly handled it in a calm and professional manner,” Fontes said.
