I write concerning federal tax guidance that discourages the investment needed to defend it.

For states like Arkansas, where agriculture is the number one industry, the consequences are real.

I commend the Department of Education’s work to improve transparency, which includes actions against universities that have failed to comply with statutory financial reporting requirements.

I have advised the President against this ill-advised action in the past and I now urge him to reconsider.
