The assistant legislative clerk read as follows: The Senator from Arkansas [Mr. Pryor], for himself and Mr. Begich, proposes an amendment numbered 2036. The amendment is as follows: (Purpose: To express the sense of the Senate with respect to the closing and consolidation of postal facilities and post offices) At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. __. SENSE OF THE SENATE. It is the sense of the Senate that the Postal Service should not close or consolidate any postal facility (as defined in section 404(f) of title 39, United States Code, as added by this Act) or post office before the date of enactment of this Act.
