I thank the Senator from California. Right now, when we open the paper and when we turn on the evening news, we see these ads for clean coal. We need clean coal. We are akin to the Saudi Arabia of coal. They say we have 400 years' worth of coal supply in this country. We have the technology now to take 90 percent of the mercury out and a lot of the particulates and we should do it. This is our chance to do it. This is a rule that has been 20 years in the making. This is not something people dreamed up over the last couple years. This has been 20 years in the making, and Congress has mandated we do this. I would say this in my part of the closing: We should not have to make a false choice. We don't have to be anticoal and prohealth. We can be both. We can do what is good for the health of the country and good for coal; that is, have clean coal, uphold this rule, and vote against the Inhofe resolution. I thank the Chair. The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. The Senator from California.
