John Boozman: “The strength that the Committee has as being probably the least partisan Committee in Congress”

I hope that after people are home visiting with their constituents, visiting with their farmers, visiting with their states…that the Democrats will vote for the bill.

North Dakota farm families helped shape the Working Families Tax Cuts, and because we listened to their priorities, we made sure the law included enhancements to the farm safety net.

While this is clearly welcome progress, we need more of our colleagues’ votes to reflect the urgency of supporting farmers, ranchers, forest landowners and rural communities.

Should this legislation be defeated today, current law will remain in effect, and states who poorly administer SNAP programs will begin to pay for the portion of the benefit cost next year.
