Mr. Chair, I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 17, after line 19, insert the following: ``(D) Access procedures.--FinCEN shall establish stringent procedures for the protection and proper use of beneficial ownership information disclosed pursuant to subparagraph (B), including procedures to ensure such information is not being inappropriately accessed or misused by law enforcement agencies. ``(E) Report to congress.--FinCEN shall issue an annual report to Congress stating-- ``(i) the number of times law enforcement agencies and financial institutions have accessed beneficial ownership information pursuant to subparagraph (B); ``(ii) the number of times beneficial ownership information reported to FinCEN pursuant to this section was inappropriately accessed, and by whom; and ``(iii) the number of times beneficial ownership information was disclosed under subparagraph (B) pursuant to a subpoena.''.
