I don't think many minds are being changed with this debate. I don't see any reason to pursue it because we have a 180-degree difference of opinion on it. I personally think that the law is fairly clear on it. The policy of Donald Hodel is clear. He didn't consult with the public. He consulted with the two Senators from Alaska and the Governor of Alaska, and perhaps some other Senators from the West, which is understandable. The only reason I know that is not because I know it for a fact. It is just that I know he issued a policy that was very pleasing to those Senators.
