I am concerned that we are getting behind, and we are allowing people who don't have our best interests at heart to develop these standards, where the US has generally been a leader in standards development around the world.
And I do want to make a clarification here. The idea of valuing our natural assets I don't think is a bad idea, and I think the US is probably behind in that, in creating standards.
We are borrowing it from our kids and our grandkids. And with no offsets to it, that is pretty irresponsible.
The legislation rewards one Tribe for conduct that is morally reprehensible and violative of the cultural code all other sister tribes collectively abide.
