I thank the gentleman from California and would also like to thank the gentleman for his tireless efforts on the Natural Resources Committee, the chairman of the Federal Lands Subcommittee. This is something that--I am a freshman, and I have been working on for a small amount of time--but he has spent years working on this issue. I thank him for his tireless efforts and his desire to see healthy forests not only in his home State but across the country. Mr. Speaker, I yield to the gentleman from Alabama (Mr. Palmer).
