This is already a period of change in Japan, and I would hope that that would be viewed with hope and not with fear by the Japanese people.

We think it is in the interest of both countries for that to happen.

I want to thank all of you who teach our children, staff our schools, lead our communities, and build our future.

Today, it is America's great energizer as well, the best change agent we can possibly have.
