When I talk to people who are in hearings that are involved with the drug cartel, I ask them the question, do those in law enforcement have greater resources, or those in the drug business? And whether it is the DEA or those in the cartels, they say the other side have more weapons. What we are trying to do by this proposal in this bill is to give more weapons and more tools to those on the other side. We need to strengthen law enforcement, not strengthen the drug cartels.
