During the votes held on December 1, 2015, I was inescapably detained and away handling important matters related to my District and the State of Alabama. If I had been present, I would have voted ``no'' on the Motion on Ordering the Previous Question on the Rule providing for consideration of H.R. 8, S.J. Res. 23 and S.J. Res 24. Also, I would have voted ``no'' on H. Res. 539. Finally, I would have voted ``yes'' on S. 1170, the Breast Cancer Research Stamp Reauthorization Act of 2015, and ``yes'' on H.R. 4127, the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016. ____________________
