But, when I think about being effective, Barbara Lee's record is, bar none, one of the most important congressional records that we have. Your track record on funding, whether that was all of the wonderful stuff you did for AIDS--and I could go on and on and on about how you have truly changed the world. You have earned the right to retire, but we know that there is no such thing as retiring, that you go from project to project, and you excel in all. Do know that this place will not be the same without you here. I am sorry I am just running in, but I could not miss the opportunity to tell you how important you have been to me and to my office, and I thank you. Saying ``thank you'' doesn't seem adequate enough but do know that your legacy will live on through so many of the people that you touched. I am just grateful that I was one of the ones that you mentored, so thank you so much. We love you, Barbara Lee.
