Richard Shelby: “When the history is written of the NIH, there will be a chapter that is entitled 'The Porter-Harkin-Specter' chapter”

A complex and evolving security environment requires a serious commitment to our national defense.

Russia's launched multiple hypersonic weapons as part of their invasion of the Ukraine and China is continuing to develop its own hypersonic weapons.

As Senator Shelby at our Senate testimony hearing last March pointed out to us, we must maintain what we have before we can build new, and I think he hits the mark head-on.

Regrettably, this was all predictable and avoidable.
