“In addition we have received letters from Chairman Greenspan of the Federal Reserve Board, Director Gilleran of the Office of Thrift Supervision and Chairman Powell of the FDIC expressing their concern regarding the breadth of Section 333. At this time, I would like to incorporate these letters into the Record. Mr. Chairman, thank you for your attention to an issue that is of great importance to many companies in a variety of industries. I look forward to working with the Chairman to amend the text of Section 333 in the conference report.”
