(b) Conversion of B-52 Bombers.-- (1) Start date.--Not later than 30 days after the expiration of the New Start Treaty, the Secretary of the Air Force shall commence the process of making available for nuclear certification the B-52 bombers described in subsection (a). (2) Completion date.--The Secretary of the Air Force shall ensure that the reconversion of B-52 bombers described in subsection (a) is complete by not later than December 31, 2029.…”
