Owners who have already filed notice would not be impacted. We appreciate Senator Wellstone's providing this amendment. We had been hoping we could have adopted this one a number of weeks ago. Finally, we included a number of reforms of the FHA which we believe are very sound and responsible provisions. They are from Senator Nickles, Senator Mack, and Senator Faircloth to direct HUD to improve the management of FHA.”
