I am aware of the important scientifically based contributions made by the university-based Southern Oxidants Study to understanding the causes of ground level ozone pollution in the Southeast as well as other areas of the country. I agree that the Environmental Protection Agency should continue to provide the appropriate funding to ensure that the critical objectives of the study can be fulfilled.
