Last week, the President and his administration were out in force bragging to anyone who would listen about how successful last year's trillion dollar stimulus bill has been. Vice President Biden left no doubt in anyone's mind when he said, ``I am absolutely certain of one thing. The Recovery Act is working.'' Well, forgive me, Mr. Vice President, if I and millions of other Americans are a bit skeptical. The American people continue to ask: Where are the jobs that this trillion dollar budget buster promised?'' Let me tell you, I would have a hard time going to my district in Monroe County, which has gone from 6 percent unemployment when the Democrats took control of the Congress in January 2007 to, last month, over 20 percent unemployment. Sadly, this is a story that is being repeated all across America. So while the President and his Democratic colleagues in Congress are trying to remember the words to ``Happy Days Are Here Again,'' the American people are left wondering, where are the jobs, and does anyone in Washington care about us?
