I really am amazed that a judge sitting on an island in the Pacific can issue an order that stops the president of the United States from what appears to be clearly his statutory and constitutional power.
I don't think that statement needs modifying, but it's obviously in context that the President of the United States clearly has a constitutional power to execute pardons.
I think we ought to clarify it one way or the other so the public is out there not breaking Federal law.
In Nazi Germany, they were keeping the Jews from leaving the country. But this is a serious matter. We need to think it through, be rational and thoughtful about it.
