We cannot have employers getting round the rules or finding different ways to deviate.

That’s what I believe we need to change, and that’s what we are looking at how to change, to expand the sanctions regime.

My message to Iran and Russia, and anyone who does their bidding, is clear. We will take all measures necessary to protect the British people, at home and abroad.

We will not tolerate threats to our security or to the safety of those who live here. Iran’s actions are irresponsible and unacceptable.
