An attack on any individual in public life is an attack on every one of us, and it is an attack on democracy itself.

Eritrea has had every chance to accept the return of criminals and those with no right to be in the UK. Unlike other countries, it has refused.

In a more dangerous world, we are faced by threats from without and within that target our democracy and our way of life.

I will not hesitate to impose further measures on other countries refusing to cooperate.
