Miatta Fahnbulleh: “Gas from Jackdaw will be in our homes and businesses this month but it won't lower our energy bills this winter.”

Jackdaw is producing gas that predominantly is used in the domestic market, Rosebank is a different proposition because it is oil that is exported.

If you want to pull the rug on that, you go talk to those communities.

We have got all the information on Jackdaw and my department has gone through that, so there is a decision that will be imminent.

This decision will support the country’s energy security with homegrown gas this winter and help minimise the UK’s use of imported higher emission fuels as we continue our transition to renewables and nuclear.
