Last time I checked, Labour's leader in Scotland was saying that he was very open to having a referendum. That's not what a unionist party should be saying.
If Labour's plan is to kick tough decisions into the long grass, come out with tiny bits of micro-policy, put up a few taxes, spend a bit more on welfare, and hope nobody notices before the next election, they are kidding themselves.
The difference is, as a party leader, I trust the people who are in our party. We have very high standards. Reform and others don't, which is why they have this scandal unfolding with people saying all sorts of appalling things.
Cuts are never easy but they are much easier to accept if what you are doing is fair.
