And there ought to be, I think, a real understanding that people cannot make money off the back of harm to women and children.
I feel like this is almost a watershed moment. We have known that for many years women have faced this growing tsunami of online misogyny... that Grok managed to create on a mass level.
There were guardrails that the engineers and Elon Musk could have put in place to stop Grok from being able to create sexualised images but they decided not to put those guardrails in place.
This is a product that has been developed without any concern for the social harms it might create. This is a product for profit.
